Writing on lined paper
I uses the paper for calligraphy practice and the ruling is just right for 1/4 inch words with 1/4 ascending and descending rules. However, the paper will show like the palimpsest of the old manuscripts on the reverse side. If you need the reverse side to be perfectly clean after you have written on the right side of the paper, don't buy this paper, because you will be only able to use one side of this paper. I believe the hard pencil of h or 2h and up will probably tear when writing with slow hard strokes like a child usually do. When you use fountain pens with the doodler inks it will not bleed and that is very good for this inexpensive paper. It is a nemesis for calligraphers if the paper bleeds after you put down the strokes in ink (even some of the thick expensive paper will bleed with ink if you happen to buy the wrong paper for calligraphy).
