The purpose of this series is threefold: (1) to provide an overview of common epidemiological and statistical terms and concepts that can be useful to the practitioner and clinical researcher, (2) to review calculations for common epidemiological measures and statistical tests, and (3) to provide examples from the published literature of uses of statistics in medical care and research.
